Exposed to Air

Air seems harmless, but all the things that are flying in the air might not be the same. Leaving pyrography woodwork exposed to air keeps accumulating dust, particles, and other airborne elements. As a result, the woodwork begins to rust due to moisture and oxidation.

Kept Near Heat/Under Sunlight

Heat is never good for wood burning projects. Artwork that you keep near a heat source, such as the kitchen projects that could be around the stoves or other appliances that produce heat, can cause the pyrography to fade. Keeping Away From Heat And Sunlight

Unless you must keep it outdoors or made to be outdoors, try to keep your wood burning projects somewhere away from direct sunlight. Because sometimes, even the UV rays protective sealant cannot do much when the artwork is exposed to higher heat. Also, try not to keep the pyrography wood anywhere near a heat source.
